Jonny Gold is a prolific singer-songwriter from San Antonio, TX. With an extensive background in country music, Jonny’s songwriting has been described as funny, poignant, and clever. Drawing comparisons to John Prine, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Tyler Childers and more.

Years spent busking at Pike’s Place Market in Seattle, WA also led Jonny to be discovered by producers of NBC’s the voice who asked him to come be a part of the show. John Legend described Jonny’s voice as one of the most unique and powerful he’d ever heard.

Jonny spent his teenage years and early twenties in Texas regularly playing at renowned venues all over the state such as Floore’s Country Store (Helotes, TX), The White Horse (ATX), Sam’s Burger Joint (SATX), Stubb’s (ATX), The Lonesome Rose (SATX), and many more.

Jonny then spent a few years traveling the country, touring and making new listeners everywhere they went. Jonny has been honored to open up for some incredible artists over the years such as James Townes Earle, Jason Boland, Penny & Sparrow, Garrett T. Capps, Lonely Horse, Tylor & The Train robbers and more.

Jonny currently resides in Utah, and plays around 200 gigs per year in local bars, breweries, and watering holes; captivating listeners every day with his strong vocals and clever songwriting. Whether it’s a solo gig, or a big show with his Honky Tonk band “Jonny Gold & The Sunflowers”, Jonny is a funny and engaged performer.
